The Caterpillar Lab 8/27/16

Sat, August 27, 2016
10am – 2pm

Come meet hundreds of native New England caterpillars at Wentworth Greenhouses. Engaging educators from The Caterpillar Lab, including founder Sam Jaffe, will be here to tell you all about dozens of species you never knew might be hiding in your own backyards. You’ll meet strange and surprising slug caterpillars, camouflaged prominents that blend perfectly into leaf edges, giant silkmoth species preparing to pupate for the cold months, and more! Be sure to save the date for this unique exhibition!

A great selection of butterfly and caterpillar friendly plants will be available for purchase and information on how to attract butterflies to your garden.
On Saturday, August 27th from 10-2 we will also be featuring:
*CREATION STATION – a fun, buffet style potting station for you to use and create with.  Self-serve with expert help nearby if needed, and we can clean up the mess!  Make your own terrarium, fairy garden, succulent planter, tillandsia hanger, endless options available.
*Wonderful selection of houseplants, cactus, succulents and more for back to school dorm rooms, classrooms, home and office.  FREE RE-POTTING with the purchase of a new plant and new container.
*BIG sale on BIG pots – pottery pieces priced $50 or more will be 50% off for a limited time only
*Fresh Fall Color – Wentworth grown MUMS, asters, kale, cabbage, grasses and other cold tolerant plants to spruce up your gardens and patios.
